Hero World Challenge 2025 – Location, Dates, and Tickets

The Hero World Challenge 2025 happens every year at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas. This event is seen as an official PGA Tour but unofficial-sanctioned tournament, which means points and status are limited, but prize and prestige are high. That's why golfers call it a "special invitational event." Tiger Woods came up with the idea for this tournament back in 1999. Since then, it's been a top choice for the world's top 20 golfers. The Golf Hero World Challenge field is exclusive and small with no cuts or eliminations. Over the years, some of the biggest names have won, such as Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Rose, and Scottie Scheffler.

Hero World Challenge 2025 Location

The Hero World Golf Challenge 2025 will take place at Albany Golf Club, located on New Providence Island in the Bahamas. The club is part of a plush resort community with sea views, ocean breezes, and lush green surroundings. The Albany Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course with a par of 72. There are five par-5 holes and five par-3 holes, while the remaining holes are par-4. Dunes, water, and bunkers can be challenging, while the fairways can be firm, fast, and unpredictable. The course includes a popular clubhouse named "NINETEEN", which consists of a golf shop, an 18-seat media room, and a grill room with outdoor seating. There is also a fully equipped advanced swing analysis centre known as “The Shed”.

The Bahamas in December is usually mild and tropical with slightly cooler mornings and evenings. A good clothing option is a performance polo shirts in a light or pastel shade, and a thin quarter-zip golf midlayer for those cooler bits of the day. Golf shorts or trousers in neutral colours such as white, sage, or grey are also a good choice. Don’t forget to carry a water-resistant golf jacket. As for footwear, go for spikeless and breathable golf shoes.
