2025 Masters Tournament – Schedule, Tickets, and Live Streaming

The 2025 Masters will be the 89th edition and the first major of the year. From April 10 to April 13, this invite-only tournament is conducted by Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, GA. It is a 72-par stroke-play event with around 92 players on the field. The Masters is one of the four majors in golf tournaments. Every year, it delivers an environment unlike any other—top players, a tough course, and traditions that make it a special event.

2025 Masters Tournament Location

The Masters 2025 will be held at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, USA. Originally the field was known as Fruitland Nursery but today it’s one of the most famous golf clubs in the world.

The Augusta National Golf Course has 18 holes each named after a different tree or flower. The course is beautiful, unique, and challenging, and feels like a paradise for every golf lover. Butler Cabin near the 18th hole is where the tournament winner gets the green jacket. The Clubhouse, a historic building built in the 1850s, has a well-stocked wine cellar. There’s also a practice range for players to hone their skills before the tournament. Instead of regular sand, the bunkers are filled with quartz granules from North Carolina. 

April at Augusta can be wild with cool breezes and rain. So, lightweight and breathable golf polo shirts and moisture-wicking mid-layers are key to staying comfortable. A waterproof golf jacket is a must for early morning and evening as Augusta weather can change quickly. Soft spike golf shoes are the way to go for grip on both wet and dry surfaces. Wear UV protection caps with sunglasses and you’ll be good to go.

When Is The Masters In 2025?

The 2025 Masters Tournament will happen from April 10 to April 13, 2025. Here is the breakdown of dates:

1. April 6, 2025 (Sunday) – Players Arrive & Practice Begins

• Players get to Augusta National Golf Club and practice rounds start.

• No public entry.

2. April 7, 2025 (Monday) – Practice Rounds Continue

• Players continue to practice their shots and putting.

• Limited fan access.

• Starts at 8:00 AM

3. April 8, 2025 (Tuesday) – Practice Rounds + Champions Dinner

• Practice rounds all day.

• Champions Dinner Tonight:

• Only past Masters champions and Augusta National Golf Club members attend.

• The defending champion designs the menu.

• Gates open at 8:00 AM

4. April 9, 2025 (Wednesday) – Practice Rounds + Par-3 Contest

• Final Practice Rounds: A last chance to get familiar with the course.

• Par-3 Contest:

• The fun and relaxed event before the official tournament.

• Players can bring their family along with a caddy.

• Fans get to see their favorite players up close.

• Gates open at 8:00 AM

5. April 10, 2025 (Thursday) – Round 1 Begins

• Honorary Starters: Legendary players hit the first shots.

• Round 1 goes from Morning to evening. Players try to move up on the Leaderboard

• Gates open at 8:00 AM

6. April 11, 2025 (Friday) – Round 2 (Cut Day)

• After this round, the cut is made. Only top players advance. Players who miss the cut are out.

• Starts at 8:00 AM

7. April 12, 2025 (Saturday) – Round 3 (Moving Day)

• Known as "Moving Day" where the leaderboard sees major changes. Top performers will lock in their positions for the final round.

• Gates open at 8:00 AM.

8. April 13, 2025 (Sunday) – Final Round & Green Jacket Ceremony

• This is the last round where the winner will be announced. The audience would experience the highest level of excitement.

• Trophy and Green Jacket are awarded only to the Masters Champion. The previous year’s winner presents the jacket to the new champion.

• Gates open at 8:00 AM

Masters Tournament 2025 Tickets

Masters Tournament tickets, also known as badges, are the hardest tickets in sports to get. The event is super exclusive and tickets are not available to the public.

1. Practice Round Tickets (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)

• Dates: April 7 – April 9, 2025

• Price: $100/day

• Details: Watch players during their practice rounds before the main tournament.

2. Tournament Round Tickets (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

• Dates: April 10 – April 13, 2025

• Price: $140/day

• Provides access to the Official tournament rounds.

3. Series Badges

Valid for all 4 tournament days (Thursday to Sunday). Only for those on the patrons' list which has been closed to new applicants for many years.

Where to Get 2025 Augusta Golf Tournament Tickets?

Official Ticket Application: Fans must apply online in advance for practice rounds and daily tournament tickets. Tickets are allocated by random selection and no tickets are sold at the gates.

Secondary Market: If you don’t get tickets through the official process, you can buy them from secondary marketplaces (which can be very expensive). Practice round tickets start at $1,594 on resale sites.

Valet Parking: Provided by Azalea Hospitality and Golf Tickets Augusta, Near Augusta National Golf Club, 1137 Garredd Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909-6674. Valet parking with a shuttle to the main gate. It costs around $200/day for valet parking.

Rideshare Lot: Designated area for rideshare near Augusta National Golf Club. Specific pick-up and drop-off areas for taxis.

If official lots are full, try parking around Washington Road.

Here are the qualifying criteria for the 2025 Masters:

• Past Masters Winners – Players who have won the Masters get a lifetime invite.

• PGA Championship Winners (2020–2024) –Champions of the PGA get a 5-year invite.

• U.S. Open Winners (2020–2024) –Champions of the U.S. Open get a 5-year invite.

• The Open Championship Winners (2020–2024) – Winners of The Open get a 5-year invite.

• The Players Championship Winners (2023–2025) – Winners of The Players get 3 years.

• 2024 U.S. Amateur Champion and Runner-up – These two players get in if they remain amateur.

• 2024 The Amateur Champion – Winner qualifies if they remain amateur.

• 2024 Asia-Pacific Amateur Champion –Player gets in if they remain amateur.

• 2025 Latin America Amateur Champion – Player gets in if they remain amateur.

• 2024 U.S. Mid-Amateur Champion –Player qualifies if they remain amateur.

• 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Individual Champion – Winner gets in if they remain amateur.

• Olympic Gold Medalist – The current Olympic gold medalist gets an invite to the next Masters.

• Top 12 (including ties) at the 2024 Masters

• Top 4 (including ties) at the 2024 U.S. Open

• Top 4 (including ties) at the 2024 Open Championship

• Winners of PGA Tour Events (2024–2025) – Players who win PGA Tour events with full FedEx points get in.

• 2024 Tour Championship Qualifiers – Players who qualify for and are eligible to play in the Tour Championship get an invite.

• Top 50 Players in the Official World Golf Ranking as of December 31, 2024

• Top 50 Players in the Official World Golf Ranking as of April 1, 2025 – These players also receive an invitation.

• The Masters Committee also invites players at their discretion.

The total purse of 2025 Masters tournament is $20,000,00. This is the prize money breakdown:

The winner of the tournament also gets the Green Jacket along with the Masters Trophy. The winner is exempt for life from the Masters Tournament and automatic entry into other majors. The winner receives lifetime invitation to attend Masters Tournament every year. Other than that, he gets full exemption from PGA Tour for next five years, and invites to the other major tournaments for the next five years -- U.S. Open, The Open Championship, and PGA Championship. The champion also gets FedEx Cup points, which will boost their ranking.

Masters Tournament 2025 Players

So far 92 players are in the tournament. The number grew last month when Augusta National invited Nicolai Hojgaard and Joaquin Niemann and most recently when Justin Hastings won the Latin America Amateur Championship and Joe Highsmith won the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches. Here are the top players to watch at the 2025 Masters tournament:

Scottie Scheffler: He is the defending champion and world number 1 golfer. Scheffler had a great 2024 season including winning an Olympic gold medal.

Rory McIlroy: World number 2, McIlroy won the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and was the 2019 Players Champion.

Jon Rahm: He is 2021 U.S. Open champion and former Masters champion. Rahm is known for his consistency and strong play.

Collin Morikawa: Two-time major champion, 2021 Open Championship and 2020 PGA Championship, Morikawa has been solid all year.

Bryson DeChambeau – 2020 U.S. Open champion, DeChambeau is also a top contender this year.

Matt Fitzpatrick: He is the 2022 U.S. Open champion and is ready to compete this year.
