Sanderson Farms Championship 2025: Schedule, Tickets, and Players

The Sanderson Farms Championship 2025 is an official PGA TOUR event held annually at the Country Club of Jackson, Mississippi. The tournament was founded in 1968 as the Magnolia Classic and was later renamed the Sanderson Farms Championship. It is a full-field FedExCup points event with the winner receiving 500 FedExCup points.

Past winners include Cameron Champ, Sergio Garcia, Sam Burns and most recently Kevin Yu. The tournament has a positive impact on the local economy every year and is a big part of the charity partnerships.

Sanderson Farms Championship 2025 Location

The Sanderson Farms Golf Tournament 2025 will be held at The Country Club of Jackson, located in the northeast part of Jackson, Mississippi, USA. This is a private club with a 27-hole facility but the championship course is the Dogwood and Azalea nines. This par-72 course is a classic “parkland” design with narrow fairways, strategically placed bunkers and tricky greens that test every shot.

Water only comes into play on about 5 holes so the main challenges are in the fairway bunkers and accuracy off the tee. The greens are small and fast and the rough is thick Bermuda grass making recovery shots even tougher.

In warm and humid weather of tournament, wear lightweight, moisture-wicking golf polos. For mornings or evenings a light midlayer or quarter zip pullover is important and a packable waterproof jacket is best for sudden rain. A golf cap or bucket hat, sunglasses and breathable gloves will protect from sun and humidity.

Sanderson Farms Championship 2025 Players

The Sanderson Farms Championship Golf 2025 is a full-field PGA Tour event with around 132 players. The tournament includes golfers who qualify through FedExCup points and priority rankings, others through sponsor exemptions and medical extensions.

Kevin Yu is back to defend his title after winning in 2024. Akshay Bhatia is a strong contender, while Min Woo Lee, ranked inside the top 50 in the world, is also in the spotlight. J.T. Poston is consistent and his fall performance will impact his ranking. Ricky Barnes, Jerry Kelly, Jonathan Randolph, Stuart Appleby, Matt Jones, and Camilo Villegas are committed to compete this year. Past champions like Mackenzie Hughes, Cameron Champ, Peter Malnati, and Ryan Armour are also in the field.

Players get into the field through different categories. First, past champions get direct entry for winning the tournament previously. Next, golfers with high FedExCup standings and priority rankings are playing. Tournament organizers and sponsors also hand out sponsor exemptions to promote new talent. And players who missed time due to injury get medical extensions or special exemptions to get back in the tournament. Bubble players of the event are the golfers outside the top 125 in the FedExCup who rely heavily on this event to get their PGA Tour cards.
