The event is now called the Baycurrent Classic Presented by LEXUS. The tournament brings together the golf circuits of Asia and the West under one roof, where fans can see global icons like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Xander Schauffele alongside Japanese stars like Hideki Matsuyama and Ryo Hisatsune.
Baycurrent Classic 2025 Field
The Baycurrent Classic 2025 will be held at Yokohama Country Club in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The club is a 36-hole facility with the East Course and the West Course, and combines 16 holes from the West Course and 2 holes from the East Course. The West Course has been renovated and remodeled in recent years. The course has tree-lined fairways, parkland elements, undulating terrain, strategic bunkering, and challenging greens.
Yokohama Country Club has a dress code for all players and visitors. Upon arrival, blazers or jackets are required (except summer months). Jeans, denim items, cargo pants, joggers, cropped pants, and training wear are not allowed on the premises. Sandals, slippers, and non-golf shoes are not permitted upon entry. On the course, polo shirts are required, and they must be tucked into golf trousers or skirts. Golf shoes with soft spikes are required; metal spikes are not allowed.

1. Ticket Categories
Three types of tickets are available for Baycurrent Classic 2025: Grounds Tickets, Premium View Tickets, and Grandstand Tickets. Grounds Ticket offers basic entry, and you can move around the tournament course and choose where you want to watch. 1-Day ticket costs around ¥5,000, and a weekly pass (4 days) costs approximately ¥44,500. The price of a pair of tickets (2 people) is ¥9,000, and the general sale ticket for specific days costs around ¥6,500.
2. Hospitality and VIP Packages
For fans who want a premium experience, official hospitality and VIP packages are available through JTB. The cost might be high due to luxury services. The 2-Day Package is ¥990,000 and can be booked for Thursday-Friday or Saturday-Sunday. 4-Day Package is also available, starting from ¥1,760,000 to ¥4,950,000 for the highest tier. These packages include Terrace Suite near 1H tee and 16H green, an air-conditioned room, a private restroom, Wi-Fi, premium food and beverages, and exclusive souvenirs.
Official ticket sales started on August 9, 2025, at 12:00 PM JST through the eplus website or the Baycurrent Classic official ticket portal. Grounds and premium tickets are usually first-come, first-served, while hospitality packages are offered through a lottery system, where interested buyers are selected randomly.
Children under 15 years old can enter for free with a paying adult (for ground ticket only). For hospitality packages, children need their own ticket.

Baycurrent Classic 2025 Purse
The Baycurrent Classic 2025 purse is around $8 million. The winner will get $1.53 million and 500 FedExCup points. Some listings mention 1.44 million, but most sources confirm it’s $1.53 million. The runner-up will get around $927,500, 3rd place $587,500, $417,500, and 5th $349,375.
Baycurrent Classic 2025 Players
78 players will be participating in the tournament this year. This is a No-Cut Event, which means all 78 players will play all 4 rounds. Most players qualify based on their FedExCup rankings (finalized by September 12). The remaining spots are filled by top players from the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO) and various Sponsor Exemptions.
Among them is Japan’s local hero Hideki Matsuyama, the 2021 champion and the record holder of most PGA TOUR wins by an Asian player. Joining him are 2023 champion Collin Morikawa, major champion Xander Schauffele, and Adam Scott. Other big names are Major winner Wyndham Clark, six-time PGA TOUR champion Tony Finau and Max Homa, and rising star Min Woo Lee. And last year’s defending champion, Nico Echavarria, and 2014 FedExCup Champion, Billy Horschel, will also be in the field.
Besides local hero Hideki Matsuyama, several top Japanese professional golfers will be playing. Specifically, Ryo Ishikawa, Keita Nakajima, Taiga Semikawa, Ryo Hisatsune, Kaito Onishi, Rikuya Hoshino, and Takumi Kanaya are included. Also, top-ranked Korean golfers Sungjae Im, Si Woo Kim, and Tom Kim will be joining the field.
Nine sponsor exemptions will be given in the tournament, which will provide an opportunity to emerging or special players to participate (4 PGA TOUR, 4 JGTO, and 1 winner of the Hideki Matsuyama Amateur Challenge).
