The Tour Championship 2025 is the final event of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Playoffs. It will be played from August 21 to August 24, 2025 at the iconic East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. The top 30 players in the FedExCup standings will be competing and all will start with even score as the staggered start has been eliminated. Its past champions include Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, Rory McIlroy and Patrick Cantlay. The winner not only becomes the FedExCup champion but also gets a 5 year PGA Tour exemption and the “Calamity Jane” trophy, a replica of Bobby Jones’ putter, making it even more special.

The BMW Championship 2025 is the 2nd most important event of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Playoffs. The tournament was introduced in 2007, evolving from the prestigious Western Open which had been played since 1899. The Western Open was one of the oldest professional golf tournaments in the United States and now BMW Championship carries its legacy forward.

The FedEx St. Jude Championship 2025 is one of the most significant events on the PGA TOUR schedule, officially the first leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The 86th edition of the Wyndham Championship is set for July 30 – August 3, 2025. The tournament started in 1938 as the “Greater Greensboro Open”. It’s the oldest regular-season event on the PGA Tour, excluding the Majors. The Wyndham Championship is the final event of the PGA Tour regular season every year where the top 70 players qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs. It also impacts the Comcast Business Tour Top 10 bonus program which distributes $40 million to the top 10 players of the regular season.

The 3M Open is a relatively new but rapidly growing PGA TOUR event that debuted in 2019. It was the first full PGA TOUR event in Minnesota in over 50 years. Before getting full TOUR status, the event was the 3M Championship on the Champions Tour (senior circuit). Cameron Champ in 2021, Tony Finau in 2022, and Jhonattan Vegas last year marked their great wins. The 3M Golf Open is often a last-chance battleground for players trying to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

The Barracuda Championship is a unique golf tournament on the PGA TOUR because of its Modified Stableford Scoring System. The event will take place from July 14 to 20, 2025 at the Old Greenwood Golf Course in the Tahoe Mountain Club in Truckee, California. The event started in 1999 as the Reno-Tahoe Open. In 2012, it was rebranded as the Barracuda Championship and switched to the Modified Stableford format to promote more aggressive, faster-paced, and high risk-reward golf.

John Deere Classic 2025 is a PGA Tour event held every July at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. It’s a key event on the FedExCup Regular Season schedule with a big purse and ranking points. The event started in 1971 as the Quad Cities Open and grew into a PGA Tour event. In 1998, John Deere & Company became the title sponsor and the tournament has grown professionally and commercially since. Jordan Spieth won his first PGA Tour event here in 2013. The Genesis Scottish Open 2025 is held annually at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. It’s co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour. As part of the Rolex Series, it has a big prize fund and high FedExCup points. The tournament has a long history dating back to 1972 and has become a summer staple on the European golf calendar. Recent winners have been Rory McIlroy (2023), Xander Schauffele (2022), and Min Woo Lee (2021). What makes this golf Scottish Open special is the timing – it’s just one week before The Open Championship.
